Is a very good software , Compliments for your effort , I find it useful. What is induction steam . You mean another stage of extraction ? or is it the inlet steam , but then you have already provided another box for inlet conditions.

You may please reply to avgpaul@rediffmail.com as well

Thanks and best regards

Compliments for your splendid effort. What is induction steam? you mean another stage of extraction , like for example a case involving double extraction cum condensing turbine ?

avgpaul, steam turbines have two configurations, in general, based on its inlet and outlet streams. Following both pictures may help you understand the difference;

In an extracting turbine, steam is taken from a point of the turbine having the desired temperature and pressure, and used for industrial process needs or sent to boiler feedwater heaters. Whereas induction turbines introduce low pressure steam at an intermediate stage to produce additional power.

Many thanks for the clarification.
Do you know of some manufacturers who supplies induction tubines ? Though I would check up with our know suppliers whether they can as well add an induction stage in to their standard designs for a new / greenfield turbine requirement

Do you have any idea whether it will be possible to add an induction stage in to an already existing double extraction cum condensing turbine.

avgpaul, I would suggest you to re-post it in 'Maintenance Engineers' (viewforum.php?f=18) forum for better responses, as this forum is dedicated for support purposes only (regarding thePetroStreet software).
